Sade’s new album “Soldier of Love”

by Wade on February 11, 2010

I’ve been enjoying the new music of Sade from the new album, “Soldier of Love”.  Most all of the songs on the album are great.  There is one song that I just can’t stand to listen to though.  If you are a fan and bought the album, let’s see if it is the same song!  Send a comment back.  ”The Safest Place” is just gorgeous with a liquid cello part throughout.

Listening Loop: “Gypsy Caprice”

by Wade on January 31, 2010

I am enjoying “Gypsy Caprice” featuring Caroline Goulding.  It is a great song for expressive movement with adults and encourages movement through various levels: high, middle, and low.  Some creative dance words for this might include: step, turn, sprint, strut, drift, float, expand, twist, and deflate.

Listening Loop: “The Isle of the Dead”

January 30, 2010

I recommend listening to a recording of Rachmaninov’s “The Isle of the Dead” Op. 29.  It really makes me think of a scene from the  book “The Amber Spyglass” by Philip Pullman. Recommend on Facebook Share with Stumblers Tweet about it Subscribe to the comments on this post Tell a friend
