Duet Contest Winners!

Congratulations to our Duet Contest winners and everyone who submitted entries!  It was such a fun way to kick off the Song Shop and will definitely lead to future contests!

A special thanks to the guest judges who volunteered their time to view and listen to all the submissions.  It was a very close contest.

Ray Rossiter-

A reading specialist in the Spencerport School District, Ray works with many individuals with special needs.  Ray was a former French horn instructor at the Hochstein School of Music & Dance in Rochester, New York.

Kevin Curran-

Business Segment Leader of the Research and Manufacturing team for Bergmann Associates in Rochester, New York.  Kevin played baritone and piano growing up.

Sue Tyler Weatherell-

Former Chair of the Music Therapy Department at the Hochstein School of Music & Dance in Rochester, New York.  Currently she is pursuing her pastry and culinary dreams and promoting her catering business while continuing her private music therapy practice.  Sue served as an adjudicator for the Rochester Broadway Theater League’s Stars of Tomorrow program.

Tracey Boccia-

Physical therapist assistant in Rochester, NY, specializing in performing arts medicine. She has been involved in Rochester area theatre as  a performer and choreographer, and has studied flute and cello. Tracey served an an adjudicator for the Rochester Broadway Theatre League’s Stars of Tomorrow program.

Duet Contest Entries

I wanted to hold a special event for my followers and celebrate the opening of the Song Shop at Time for Music.  What better way then to bring music therapists together to make music?  I thought a duet contest would spark some collaborations and music making- and I am so pleased that it did!
